Casey Cooper, Ph.D.
began working with students and athletic
teams in the late 90’s at USC and UCLA College Counseling
Centers before opening her private practice in 2007. She served as a Senior Staff Psychologist at UCI for the 2012 -
2014 athletic seasons and was the 2016 NFL Rookie Success
Program Clinician to the Los Angeles Rams.
Dr. Casey Cooper is a Licensed Psychologist (PSY21348). She
received her Masters in Marriage Family and Child Counseling
and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of
Southern California.
Currently, Dr. Casey treats athletes, their
families and teams ranging from Little League to Professional
ranks. She has worked with nearly all disciplines from Figure
Skating to MotoCross, including athletes in the NBA, MLB, NFL,
NHL, MMA, MotoCross, USOC, USTA, and PGA to name a few.
In 2019, she produced ImPractically Perfect, a podcast
combatting the perfectionism crisis.
Past projects include, The Dr. Casey Show, which aired in 2008
as a part of The Angels Network on AM 830 KLAA and featured
unique content highlighting sports psychology issues, a call in hour
for parents, athletes and coaches, and interviews with sporting
legends. Later, Dr. Casey served as the Director of Community
Programming for the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation from
2014-2016. There she developed leadership and mentoring
programs on behalf of The Lott IMPACT Trophy in partnership with the Pro Football Hall of Fame.. These unique
and strategic programs opened new partnerships with the Orange
County Department of Education, CIF and PFHOF for the PCIF.
Casey is a native of Mission Viejo, where she lives with her spouse of more than 20 years. Their daughter is now a college student earning her BFA in Acting.
